History of the space
The Paxton room pays tribute to Joseph Paxton, the visionary behind the Crystal Palace built for the Great Exhibition of 1851. His innovative design, inspired by a giant version of his glass lily house, was constructed in just eight months and became a sensation upon its opening. Paxton was later knighted by Queen Victoria for his contribution.
Today, the Paxton room offers a refined setting for small meetings or private dining, accommodating 10–12 guests (34 sqm).
